What is Renaissance Accelerated Reader? Accelerated Reader (AR) is a computer program that helps teachers to manage and monitor children’s independent reading practice. Your child picks a book at his/her own level and reads it at his/her own pace. When finished, your child takes a short quiz on the computer - passing the quiz is an indication that your child has understood what has been read.

School Start and End Times
Promptness is a trait to be developed. Parents, through their efforts and example, help instill this trait in children. Tardiness interferes with a child’s progress in school and constitutes a disturbance for all members of the class. A child is considered tardy for school if he/she is not in his/her classroom in the building when the 8:00 a.m. bell rings.
IF A CHILD COMES IN LATE, THE STUDENT AND PARENT (OR DRIVER) MUST REPORT TO THE OFFICE FOR A PASS BEFORE GOING TO THE CLASSROOM.
A student who accumulates five (5) or more unexcused tardies per quarter is considered excessive.
Hot lunch is provided daily for $3.75. Milk is $0.65.
School Supplies are provided by the school and do not have to be purchased by parents.
Preschool students should bring a water bottle daily, change of clothes including socks and undergarments, and a blanket or lovie. Backpacks should be sent at the first of the week and will be returned home on their last day attending for the week.
PK 18 months and 2 students only - Please bring diapers and wipes labeled with your student's name on them.
Kindergarten - 5th grade students should bring a water bottle daily and keep a change of clothes in their backpacks.
Parents can check the progress of their students' grades at any time during the semester. Log on to the FACTS Family Portal. Click on "Student" to the left, then "Grades".
Report Cards will be emailed to parents/guardians at the end of each semester.
